I am a wife and a mom to a gorgeous 2.5 year old boy. My husband is an Aussie, we met nearly 13 years ago now and we've been travelling ever since! Our travels have taken us to the UK, Europe, the Caribbean, USA, Australia, the South Pacific, South East Asia, with more on the horizon!
This business has allowed us to continue our passion for travel. In 2015 alone, we travelled to 12 countries and brought the business along with us. What I love most about my online business is that I can work from pretty much anywhere on the world so long as I have a laptop, phone, and internet connection. I have been known to run my business from sailboats, the back of taxi cabs, and airport lounges!
As a new mum, I wasn't faced with the challenge of deciding to choose career over motherhood or vice-versa. I had built up my skill set and experience over my career in education and I didn't want to put my career on the back burner while focusing on my new role as a mum. I doubled my teacher's salary in the 12 months after having my son and we went to 6 countries that year. What a ride!

THE PROBLEM THAT LED ME HERE: I started my online business here just about 10 years ago. I was an underpaid, overworked, and highly stressed secondary school teacher. I was drowning in debt and didn't see how my meagre teacher salary was going to provide us with any level of freedom or lifestyle.
WHAT WASN'T WORKING: I had gotten myself into tens of thousands of dollars of debt during my university years. I spent 6 years at university with a ton of debt and very little job prospects. I was working contractually, a sick leave here, a maternity leave there. I didn't feel stable in my career and felt very much at the effect of others' decisions. It was time for a change.
WHAT LED ME TO SUCCESS: My husband introduced me to a couple of personal development books in 2009. One was "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki and the other was "The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People" by Stephen Covey. These books were instrumental in changing the way I thought about life, and most importantly, my own ability to create my life the way I wanted to. The information I learned in these books set my life on an entirely different path. One day, my husband emailed me a link to a website similar to this one and, as they say, the rest is history!
THE BUSINESS THAT WAS A BOOM: The business that I was led to that day, is the same one I still run today, almost 10 years later. What I went looking for was a financial solution. What I found here is so much more. I work with award winning Personal Development products and that I can tap into a global economy connecting with customers from Australia, Europe, UK, USA and those in my home country, Canada.
